I was born and raised in Iowa and I make it back frequently to visit my
family. I obtained my bachelor's degree in political science from the
Univerity of Iowa and later a Master's in elementary education from the
University of Phoenix Online. I have lived in St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin
Islands), Washington, D.C., and Columbia, Missouri. I moved to Austin in
January of 2007 and substituted for Round Rock for the remainder of the
school year. In 2007 I was hired on full-time as a third grade teacher and
have been here ever since. Two years ago I married my husband Dan and this
summer we moved to Round Rock from Austin. Personal interests include
traveling, sailing, going to the beach, cooking, reading, and dancing.
