My name is Kaila Porowski and I am very excited to be working as the TAG
Specialist at Robertson Elementary for my second year. This campus has a
staff of dedicated teachers, administrators, and parents who work hard to
make a difference every day. This year will be my 5th year as an elementary
teacher, and my 4th year in Round Rock. Previously I have taught 1st, 3rd and
4th grade TAG cluster classes.
I am a native Texan who once moved away to be closer to my husband, but
finally convinced him to come back with me! I was born and raised in Houston,
Texas, and quickly made my way to Austin for college. I graduated Summa Cum
Laude from Texas State University with a BS degree in Interdisciplinary
Studies. After graduation, I married a wonderful man on March 11, 2006. His
name is Nick and he is a police officer in Austin. Our son, Wyatt,
was born in 2008 and our daughter, Ava, completed our family in January, 2010.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I
love reading the latest best-selling novel, eating out at our favorite
restaurants, getting pedicures, going to the water park with the kiddos,
traveling all over the world, and shopping!
