Hello everyone. I am please to announce that the PTA is finally finding its
footing this year. My name is Marci Coursey, and I am your new PTA president.
It has been slow going, due to having a lot come my way. I have officially
finished my training, and I am feeling a little more comfortable about being
your new president. I wanted to also introduce Kathy Casas, and Shannon
Smith. They are the rest of our board, and have been huge helps so far this
year. If you can't get a hold of me, please feel free to ask them questions.
They are my right hand ladies, and they are amazing.
Even though, this year has started off slow, I believe in all of us, and I
believe if we all pitch in we will finish strong.
I want to let you all know if you have questions or would like to discuss
anything PTA e-mail is up and going now. Please feel free to e-mail us. We
will do our best to get back with you in a timely fashion.
Right now, we are all getting ready to kick off our first fundraiser. Wahoo,
I am excited. Our first meeting is November 10th, and we would like very much
to sell food and drinks, however, that means we will need help. We have a PTA
meeting once a month, and this is going to be a common theme, so if you can
check your calenders, and pick a meeting you could help set up, sell, or
clean up, the PTA board would be appreciative. As your PTA board works
through kinks, and nails down ideas and fundraisers, I will post them on the
school calendar. If you will keep track, it will give you, as members, ideas
of when and how you can help. We will do our best to try and put a sign up
sheet in a general area, for volunteers to sign up to help. We will do our
best to give plenty of notice.
