Hello, my name is Trey Nobles, and I am a fourth year science teacher at
Round Rock High School. Currently, I am teaching both Aquatic Science and
Environmental Systems. Personally, I graduated high school from Copperas Cove
High School in Copperas Cove, TX, graduated from Texas A&M University with a
BS degree in Horticulture (plant science), and attended graduate school at
Colorado State University where I studied biotechnology. I grew up on a small
farm where I gained an understanding and appreciation for the natural world,
which has carried over to my professional careers.
This website is intended mainly to update parents on class announcements,
schedules, and assignment due dates. Students will be using a different
website called Moodle, where there will be assignments, quizzes, discussion
forums, and other course-related material. Since only students will have
access to Moodle, I will include any material that you as a parent may need
here on TeacherWeb. Please don't hesitate to either call or email with any
questions or concerns you have about your child or their course. Thank you
very much for the opportunity to be involved in your child's education, and I
look forward to meeting you at Open House or any other time you can come by.
The goal of any science class is to help students to develop the critical
thinking skills necessary to solve problems and make informed decisions
throughout their lives. Specifically in my classes, I hope that my students
will gain a better understanding of the world around them and their role in
it. With that understanding, I want my students to gain an appreciation of
how we affect the world and how it affects us, both positively and
negatively. I also hope my students will learn to respect themselves and each
other, make good choices and be responsible citizens.
