Volunteer Opportunities

The Round Rock High School PTSA would like to invite you to make a difference in your child’s school experience.  There are many volunteer opportunities at RRHS including:

Book Room
Assist with textbook distribution, intake and other tasks as needed.
 Time commitment: beginning and end of both semesters and as needed.

Clothes Closet (Coordinator:  Julie Sharifian – clothes.closet@rrhsptsa.org)
Give assistance to RRISD outreach clothes closet at Voight Elementary.
Time commitment: Once a month at Voight Elementary

Directory (Coordinator: Carlos Romo – directory@rrhsptsa.org)
Assist with the distribution of school directory.  Assistance also needed in selling ad space in the school directory.
Time commitment: Beginning of year.

Hospitality (Coordinator:  Beverly Varga – hospitality@rrhsptsa.org)
Volunteers are needed to show our RRHS staff just how much we appreciate them!  Duties might include: set-up, host, serve and clean up for various events.  Volunteers may also be asked to donate items for events or help solicit donations.
Time commitment:  on-going throughout the school year
 
Library (Coordinator:  Sara Shine, Librarian – sara_shine@roundrockisd.org) 
Assist students with locating books and help with checkout, checking, and shelving of books.  Other projects as needed.
Time commitment: Varies as needed.

Office Assistance (Contact: Susan Kemp, Volunteer Coordinator – volunteer@rrhsptsa.org)
Help out in the front office, registrar’s office and counseling center.  Duties might include: laminating, copying, answering phones, filing, etc.
Time commitment: flexible

ON CALL (Contact: Susan Kemp, Volunteer Coordinator – volunteer@rrhsptsa.org)
This volunteer position is just as it sounds….on going or on call!  If you are willing for us to call you when we run short of volunteers for any area, this is for you. 
Time commitment: as needed and some opportunities at your convenience

Reflections Program (Coordinator:  Jill Tooms – reflections@rrhsptsa.org)
“Reflections” is a fine arts competition for students sponsored by the National PTA.  Helpers will organize and execute the program according to the guidelines.
Time commitment:  varies, Contest is in the fall

Spirit Wear Sales (Coordinator:  Tina Risinger –spirit.wear@rrhsptsa.org)
Assist with spirit wear sales and delivery as needed.
Time commitment:  varies
