Will my child have homework every night?

You will find a homework assignment sheet in your child's green daily 
folder.  There is typically phonics practice Monday through Thursday.  There 
may be additional homework on those nights as well, just check the sheet.  I 
do not give homework on weekends or holiday breaks.  That would be gross!

What is your discipline policy?

I use the Love and Logic approach with my students.  I began using it last 
year and found it to be simple, rewarding, and effective with all my 
students.  This year I will be able to attend additional training for using 
the L&L approach in the classroom.

Can I volunteer?

Absolutely!  I have things that a volunteer can do in the class as well as 
at home.

What is the best way to contact you?

1. Visit with me when you pick up your child in the afternoon (morning is 
too hectic)
2. email   doden@lubbockisd.org  However, I rarely check email once the day 
has begun so if there is something I need to be aware of during school 
hours, please call the office at 766-0933.
