Chapel day?

Chapel is every Wednesday at 8:20. The classes sit
together with their teachers. Parents
are invited to attend any time and to sit with the
class or to sit anywhere in the church with their child/ren.
Each week a different person or group is asked to
lead our worship. We praise and worship God and thank Him
for all good things. One week during the year the
first grade classes lead the chapel worship. You will
be notified in advance so you can attend. Our offerings
are collected and sent to various mission activities
during the year.

Dinner Auction in December?

Dinner Auction is an evening of:
-Fellowship - Come and enjoy with friends.
-Food - Tickets can be purchased in advance for
      the meal.
-Classroom Projects - Each classroom works on
a project that is put into the auction for
bidding. Bidders have a bidder number.
-Silent Auction - You will get a bidder number.
After you view the items, you can write
down your bidder number and the amount that
you are willing to pay for the item. At the
end of the evening, you find out if you
"won" the bid. Then you pay for
your items and take them home.
-"Live" Auction - The items in the Live Auction
are usually larger items which bring higher
bids than the silent auction. It is con-
ducted live by an auctioneer. Highest bidder
      gets the item.

100th Day of School?

We count the school days. When we get to 100,
we do a lot of activities involving the number
100. Psalm 100, 100 tally marks, 100 stamps,
and 100 piece puzzles are just some of our fun
activities.

Valentines Day?

This is not a party day. Students are allowed to bring
Valentines to school as long as they bring one for
EVERY child in our class. We will send home a list of
everyone in the class so you don't miss anyone.
On Valentines Day we do special activities with hearts
etc. but otherwise it is a regular school day, regular
lunch day, and regular dismissal time. We do allow time
during the day for them to open, admire, and thank
people for the Valentines.

Field Day?

Students in grades 1 through 4 go to Our Savior Lutheran
School to participate in track and field events.
Since teachers are in charge of running the events,
parents are responsible to go with their child, or
find another adult to be responsible for their
child for the day and help him/her get to the
events. It is loads of fun! Plan to join us
for the day!
