11/13/09- Main and Helping Verbs
The main verb shows action. The helping verb tells more about the action. Ex-am, is, are, was, were, will, would, should, has, have, had, do, did, can.

11/20/09- Subject-Verb Agreement
The subject and the verb must work together.
Singular nouns, he, she and it-add es or s to the verb.
Plural nouns, I you, we and they-do not add es or s to the verb.
Ex- She acts like a clown.
People act like clowns.

12/04/09-Past, Present and Future Tenses
A tense of a ver tells when the action happens. Present tense is happening now. Past tense has already happened. Future tense is going to happen.

12/11/09-Irregular Verbs
Irregular verbs change to another word to show past tense.
Ex- The teacher says her name is Mrs. Smithers.
The teacher said her name is Mrs. Smithers.
