What can my child wear on Fridays?
Fridays are Spirit Days. Salem Saint T-shirts with PLAIN BLUE
JEANS
OR PLAIN BLUE JEAN SHORTS are the dress for Fridays. If you do
not
have a Saints T-shirt then a uniform shirt must be worn. Please
be
sure the jeans/shorts are plain - no embroidery or other colors.
D-Fest
shirts are also acceptable.
May I eat lunch with my child?
Yes! You are always welcome to eat with your child or to bring
them
a special lunch.
May I sit with my child during chapel?
Chapel is Wednesdays at 8:20. We leave the room about 8:15. You
may
stay with your child in the classroom and go to chapel with them,
or
meet us in the church. You may sit with your child at the end of
our
row, or if you have more than one child, sit with your children
in
the rows behind the classes.
It is my child's birthday, can we bring a treat for the class?
Yes. We do NOT have parties at school so this should be a simple
treat to eat, one which can be passed out individually. Treats
such
as cookies, brownies, Rice Krispie bars, cupcakes, popsicles, or
ice
cream cups would be acceptable. Some parents like to send drinks
such as juice boxes, this is fine.
May I send invitations for a birthday party to school to hand out?
We will put invitations in folders to go home only if you are
inviting all the children in the classroom, OR if a boy is
inviting
all the boys, a girl all the girls. If you are only inviting
certain
Kindergarten children from either classroom then you must mail
the
invitations or hand them to the other parents before or after
school.
Why do you take worship attendance?
We believe that our lives should reflect our personal
thankfulness and
relationship to God. Worship may certainly take place in your
home,
privately, in our classrooms, or in our school chapel time-but
family
worship in a church home builds relationships, strengthens faith,
supports
us in times of need, and shows obedience to God's Word.
