Do I need to sign my child's assignment sheet every day?

YES!!!  The assignment sheet has information about homework, 
upcoming events, and behavior incidents.

Can I wear anything on Spirit Days?

Students are to wear a Salem Spirit shirt and uniform bottoms or 
blue jeans or shorts.

Is it important to be on time to school?

Please, please, please be at school by 7:55 am!  By being on 
time, you allow your child the opportunity to settle in and get a 
fresh start to the day without being rushed.  We begin promptly 
at 8:00 am.

For students and parents, please ask!  Parents - we check our 
email regularly.  This is the best way to communicate.

If I just need to talk for a minute, is it ok to catch you before school starts?

Right before and right after school, our focus is getting the 
students in the classroom and settled and then out of the 
classroom.  In order to give your our full attention, please 
schedule a time when we could visit.

Is homework really important?

The simple answer is yes.  Homework reinforces concepts that were 
taught in class.  It also teaches students responsibility and 
discipline.  Expect homework every night.
