I have a BA and a MA from the University of Texas at Austin.
I have 37 years experience teaching high school science. I taught for 13 years in the U.S. with
teaching assignments in the public schools of Houston and San Marcos, Texas. I also taught 24
years at the U.S. Overseas School in Cochabamba, Bolivia. I have taught 7th grade life science,
8th grade earth science, intregrated physics and chemistry (IPC), pre AP chemistry, pre AP physics,
AP chemistry, AP physics B, biology, astronomy, and physiology,
I am a member of ACS (The American Chemical Society), AAPT (The American Association of Physics
Teachers), and NSTA (The National Science Teachers Association).
I try to teach my science topics with a broad humanistic (and sometimes humoristic) approach
bringing in aspects of history, literature, and the fine arts.
My lovely wife Elsa is with me in my retirement. I have a daughter, Erika, who lives in Washington
D.C. I also have two grandchildren, Thalia and Jan Michael.

enseñado una variedad de materias de ciencias incluyendo astronomía, geología, biología, química, y
física.

Física de América), y NSTA (La Asociación Nacional de Profesores de Ciencia).
Trato de enseñar mis clases con un énfasis de enlace entre ciencia y historia, literatura,
y las artes.
Mi querida esposa Elsa está conmigo en mi jubilación. Tengo una hija, Erika que vive en
Washington D.C. También tengo una nieta y un nieto, Thalia y Jan Michael.
