Weekly Spelling Assignment: “BEE-ing Creative with Spelling”
**This is your spelling assignment each week.
**It is your responsibility to possess a copy of your spelling list at all
times.
**All of this work is due, stapled together, at the start of our class time
on Fridays.
MONDAY: Neatly write each word 5 times.
TUESDAY: Use the first 10 words correctly in sentences.
WEDNESDAY: Use the last 10 words correctly in sentences.
THURSDAY: Complete 1 choice activity with your spelling words:
1. Write your words in ABC order.
2. Illustrate each word (don’t forget to label the picture with the
word).
3. Make a word scramble and solve it. EX: olochs = school
4. Make a word search and solve it.
5. Make a code symbol for each letter in the alphabet.
6. Copy your words, and then write your words in code.
7. Make up a silly short story using all of your words. EVERYTHING
counts!
8. Circle the vowels (a,e,i,o,u) and underline the consonants in each
word.
9. Divide each word into syllables.
10. Write a letter using all of your words. EVERYTHING counts!
11. Make flashcards with your words.
12. Type your words on the computer
13. You-Create-the-Assignment: Here’s what you do...
a. Fill out a blank sheet of paper, complete with your heading.
b. Your title will be the proposal for the assignment.
