Bluebonnet Program ends January 30th. Winners will be announced at Celebrate Smith TBA.
Jan. 23 ~ 5th Grade Book Club begins The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
Jan. 30 ~ Students will vote for their favorite Bluebonnet during their lunch period.
Who can vote? Any 3rd, 4th and 5th grader who has read at least 5 Bluebonnet
nominees.
February 2009 Feb. 13 ~ 5th Grade Book Club Feb. 26 ~ ALL SIX FLAGS FORMS DUE IN THE LIBRARY Feb. 27 ~ Bluebonnet trophy and medal day at Celebrate Smith Feb. 27 ~ 5th Grade Book Club Caldecott Program Ends at the end of February. All students who have completed 5 different Caldecott pictures will receive a certificate and a trip to the treasure box at Celebrate Smith TBA.
March 2009
Mar. 11-15 ~ National Library Week and Spring Scholastic Book Fair TBA
Mar 26 ~ Grace Lin, author visits. Books can be pre-ordered Mar. 2-6.
Mar. 27 ~ 5th Grade Book Club Celebration for The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. Come in
your pjs. Stripes optional:)
May 2009
