Mrs. Duvall’s Art Schedule 2011-2012 I teach 24 classes, ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grade. The remaining 12 classes are taught by our half-time art teacher, Mrs. Deb, who also teaches at Laurel Mountain Elementary. Each child receives 125 minutes of art every two weeks. (Each class comes to art for two 50-minute periods and one 25-minute period every other week.)Students follow the same schedule and attend music class on the weeks in between. "Split" classes are made up from 3-4 students from each homeroom teacher's class on that grade level. We have 6 slots for the specials rotation to work, but some grade levels have less than 6 teachers, which results in a "split" class being formed to make the rotation work. 1st and 4th grade have split classes this year. It actually results in smaller class sizes (students to teacher ratio), which is good for everyone!
