This is my 14th year teaching second grade at Spicewood. Before teaching
second grade I was the resource teacher for six years here at Spicewood. So,
add it up! That makes TWENTY!! I really can't believe it because it has gone
so fast!
My husband and I have 2 grown and married boys. Luckily, everyone lives in
Austin, so we see them frequently. Taylor, the older son, is in his 5th year
of teaching pre-K in Pflugerville ISD. I keep telling him to move to second
grade. It's the BEST! His wife, Cheryl, is a technical writer.
Our younger son, Van, is in his 1st year being a pharmacist for Walgreens.
His wife, Hannah, is planning to go to college in the spring.
My husband, Mack, has worked most of his working career for the Texas
Department of Public Safety. His background is chemistry. He manages the
Breath Alcohol Test Program for the state.
We have 1 pet, an old Chihuahua (a big, black one) named Mimi. She is about
15 years old, and is doing very well for her age!
I enjoy cooking, reading, and puttering in the yard.
I'm excited about this class! They are really sweet and such a fun group!
We will be safe, responsible, and respectful.
