What we are learning this week:
Social Studies- This week we completing our Summative and Reflection for our
Unit of Inquiry "Who We Are". We will starting our new UOI "Where We Are In
Palce and Time" this week. This is our biggest unit yet. The students will
understand that individuals through a variety of endeavors have changed
communities over time and provided role models of good citizenship.
Writing- We are using our writing and Social Studied block to work on
completing our Summative and Reflection for our Unit of Inquiry "Who We Are",
and starting our new UOI "Where We Are In Palce and Time"
Reading- This week we are learning about multiple meaning words.
We will read several passages from Time For Kids such as Proud to be a
Mohawk, Pool Safety, Estimating and An Icy Journey and completing
comprhension questions for each one.
Math- This week is week 4 of fractions. The students will learn about
equivalent fractions through hands-on experince rotating through a series of
stationd set up in the room. The students will also comolete an
exemplar "lots and lots of Chocolate".
