What if I lost my homework?
First, look again through your folder. Sometimes, homework hides from you!
Next, call a classmate and see if they would let you copy their blank
sheet. If all else fails, have your parents create homework for you. For
instance, if it is math homework, have your parents write ten problems for
you to complete. In LA, write a story to replace you homework. For
Inquiry, you may create and answer five burning questions about a subject we
are investigating. You MAY still have to complete the original homework
when you get back to school the next day, but you will not have to write up!
How do you give behavior grades, Ms. B?
I use your write up sheet to give your behavior grade of a E,S,N, or U.
Zero write ups for a nine weeks is amazing and rare! You get two E's.
1-4 write ups is awesome! You get one E.
5-8 write ups is average. You get all S's.
9-12 write ups means you need to work on behavior goals. You get one N.
13+ write ups means your behavior was unsatisfactory. You get one N and one
U.
I try to make sure that the comments reflect behavior for the last nine
weeks. Remember that each nine weeks everyone gets a clean slate, and a
fresh start!
Did you ever send home a note about behavior grades?
Yes! Every nine weeks, I send home a note that looks something like this:
Ms. Bell's grading policy for citizenship
I use the write up sheets to determine citizenship grades.
Please note the following chart:
2 E= no write ups
1 E= 1-4 write ups
all S= 5-8 write ups
1 N= 9-12 write ups
13+ = 1N and 1U
