Spicewood PTA is excited to bring you Family Movie Night! It will be held on Friday, 5/18 in the Spicewood cafeteria and will feature the movie "Puss in Boots." Doors will open at 6:30PM and the show will start at 7:00PM. Admission is free. Bring blankets and pillows to make your spot on the floor as there will not be chairs. Hello 5thGrade Parents!!
The end of the school year may seem far away, but we are making plans now for a fabulous endto 5th grade. The last day of school, Friday, May 25th, 2012 will be a memorable day for you andyour child.
The promotion ceremony will be May 25th (last day of school), 7:45 a.m.-9:00 a.m. in thecafeteria. The students will make their “final walk” through the halls of Spicewood. There will berefreshments following the ceremony.
A tradition for the 5th graders is to attend a parent-sponsored pool party that evening (5/25) atBalcones Country Club from 5-7 p.m. Lifeguards will be on duty. The students will swim, playgames and have pizza, lemonade and cake. Details about this event as well as invitations andpermission slips will be sent home with your child closer to the end of the school year.

End of School Meal Account Policy
Beginning April 30th, your student must have enough money in his or her meal account to cover purchase of breakfast, lunch, or a la carte items. During May, any student who does not have enough money in his or her meal account will be given an alternate lunch (cheese sandwich and milk) and not allowed to charge an unpaid meal to their account.
If your student’s meal account currently has an outstanding balance, it must be paid by Friday, May 25th.
Money can be added to a student’s meal account through the last day of school. Funds remaining in the account will be carried into the 2012-13 school year.
Account balances can be viewed atwww.paypams.com. If you have additional questions please contact the cafeteria manager.

HOME ACCESS CENTER or the “HAC”
The Home Access Center is a browser-based student information system that allows parents/guardians and high school students to view student information such as: demographics, attendance data, class schedules, discipline incidents, student progress, and report card grades. Parents may register online by going to the RRISD website and clicking on the “Log-In” tab found under Home Access Center. Parents/guardians who are unable to register online must make arrangements with our registrar and sign a User Agreement form to receive their username and password.
