Welcome to Spicewood Elementary. I am Mrs. Swain, the Assistant Pricipal.
This is my 6th year as an Assistant Principal, but I have been a teacher
for many years. Twenty eight to be exact! All but two of those years have
been with Round Rock ISD. I am a graduate of the University of Arizona with
a Bachelor's in Elementary Education, and have a Master's in Educational
Administration from Northern Arizona University.
My husband Steve and I have three children. They all were educated in RRISD
and are graduates of Round Rock HS. Brian is a graduate of Texas A&M, is
married and is a Chemical Engineer in Houston. He and his wife have given
me three beautiful grandchildren, James, 6, John, 4, and our
newest, Jude, 14 months and Johah due in September. I try to get to Houston
as often as possible to enjoy those precious little boys.
Our other son,David, is a graduate of Texas Tech and a graduate in
Opera Performance from the Cincinnati Conservatory in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is
a baritone and most often plays the villain or older gentlemen in the operas.
He has just moved to New York City to try to make the "big time".
Our daughter,Sally, is a graduate of Tarleton State University with an Art
Degree. She is married and lives with her husband in Granbury, Texas. She is
an office manager for a medical clinic.
Spicewood is a truly wonderful school and we are very proud of our superbly
skilled and dedicated staff. We are glad you are here. If I can be of help
