Six weeks recognition items include certificates, pizza, and ice cream parties. End of year prizes include cash prizes and other items. The program works in the following manner. Starting with the second six weeks report card and every six weeks report card thereafter, BUG tickets will be issued to every student who has higher report card grades in Math, English, Reading, Spelling, Science, and Social Studies than the previous six weeks. Each student’s teacher will fill out a BUG ticket for each of their students that earn them. BUG tickets will be collected each six weeks for the end of the year drawing for major prizes. Certificates will be issued to BUG achieving students. Students will earn various prizes at the end of each six weeks and at the semester.
