Tips for Parents

Jerry, father of 5 kids, says Sunday night dinners are sacrosanct at his house; you can miss one only if you're sick in bed. At these meals, he says, "We fill in the family calendar as to who's doing what when, who will need a ride, who will need balsa wood for a project, and so on. If plans or needs change during the week, and they frequently do, we note changes on the calendar in red ink." How does he keep everyone from talking at once? "We take turns sharing our plans, starting with the youngest and including Mom and Dad."
The tip above came from the book 365 Ways to Save Time with Kids by Lucy Hedrick.
