This last week we will discuss the feast of Pentecost and review special
lessons we have had over the past year. We'll visit the Mary Garden and pray a
decade of the Rosary together as the month of May draws to a close. We'll
complete our Family Life books and the last pages of our Religion textbook.
Continue to pray daily with your child and practice the prayers we have
learned this year.

Tuesday is a big day for Kindergarten as we receive our Certificates of
Completion of Kindergarten. We will gather in the FAMILY LIFE CENTER at 11:30
for a Prayer Service where Father Wayne and Mrs. Wooten will give us the
certificates. A reception will follow. Afterward students are free to be
dismissed for the day and may leave with their parents. Or they may go to
lunch off campus with parents and then return for afternoon enrichment
activities and regular dismissal. A third option is to return to the
classroom, have lunch (which the student brings) a little later and then
continue with afternoon enrichment activities until regular dismissal time.

On Wednesday we look forward to watching the Talent Show in the afternoon.
Some of our students and their siblings will be performing. This will be held
in the Family Life Center at 12:00 pm and again at 1:30 pm.

Thursday brings the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL for 2011-2012. We'll start the day with
ALL SCHOOL MASS at 8:15 am and then return to the classroom to give out report
cards and special mementos. Then at 10:30 we'll start our LAST CLASS PARTY.
Students will return to the classroom to pick up backpacks - Be sure to send
BACKPACKS even on the last day - to be dismissed for summer at 11:45.

We extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our wonderful parents for the
continued encouragement, support, love, and care that you have shown to your
child, our class, the teachers, and all of SFDS. Your children have been a
blessing to us and it has been a privilege to work with them. We love them all
dearly and will miss them as they move on to First Grade. We wish you a
relaxed, exciting summer filled with new experiences and safe travels. God's
Blessings to all!
