About The Teacher

Mrs. Gabler has been teaching at St. Francis for 23 years and 32 years total
teaching. She has taught 3rd grade and Kindergarten here at SFDS and 1st
grade at another Catholic school and in public school. Mrs. G loves teaching
at St. Francis and thinks of our school as her other family. She especially
enjoys teaching Religion, Math, Reading, and Science and loves singing,
dancing, and doing art projects with her students. She has been married to
Mr. Gabler for 38 years. Their 3 children, Kelly, Christopher, and Rebecca
all attended SFDS from Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Mrs. Gabler has also been a CCE teacher at our parish for 27 years. She
instructs 3 and 4 year olds on Sunday mornings and also 2nd graders and those
preparing to receive First Eucharist on Wednesday evening.

When not teaching (which she loves) Mrs. Gabler enjoys fishing, reading,
gardening, trying new recipes and attending Astros games. She was
disappointed when her favorite players, Oswalt, Berkman, Pence, and Bourne,
were traded but she will still continue to cheer on the home team.
