Tuesday:Review the Word wall Words: I, am, the, little
Practice using words in a sentence.


Wednesday:Have your child name the letters as fast as he/she can from the 
above list.


Thursday:Counting Syllables
Point to words have your child clap out how many syllables are in each word.

Friday: Have your child practice these words:
old,pan, quack, run, sun

Graded Papers (GREEN FOLDER) are sent home every Friday or the last day of 
school for the week. Please take time to go over the work with your child and 
give him/her praise for his/her hard work.



Below you will find the whole year "Popcorn" words. Please feel free to start 
making flashcards with your child and keep the cards at home.You may use a 
ringed card or a recipe card for each word and punch holes and put a ring 
together. We will introduce two words during the week and review them week 
after.Have your child practice reading and writing these words.Your child will 
be writing each of these words in their Readers and writer's Notebook to 
complete a sentence as we introduce them each week.

Here is the new Scott Foresman Reading Series "High_Frequency Words" also
known as: Popcorn Words/ Sight Words/Heart words your child must know by the
end of Kindergarten. A ringed cards that contains all the letters and words
will be sent home soon. Please keep it in the binder.In addition to these 
words we will
also be sending home phonograms when we focus our study with a certain vowel
during the week. Please help your child practice the words each night.Your
child will be tested for the mastery of the words that we introduced during
