What will my child learn in Band?

The beginner band is devoted primarily to the study of the fundamentals and 
responsibilities of playing the chosen instrument. This is a preparation for 
becoming a member of the advanced band. Students are taught to read music, 
to play and care for the instrument and the theory necessary to understand 
what is being played.

What instrument will my child play?

That will depend on your child's abilities, physical characteristics 
and the instrumentation needed for a balanced band.

Can my child be in both Band and Athletics?

Yes! There are no band rehearsals scheduled for after school unless the 
extra rehearsal time is needed before a performance.
