The requirements for consideration are as follows: (1) diagnosis of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus; (2) graduation from a high school in the Travis County-Williamson County area; (3) enrollment into a college or university; and (4) financial need. In addition to the requirements for consideration, applicants are asked to provide a one-page essay, two letters of recommendation, and a letter from the student’s physician verifying diagnosis of insulin-dependent diabetes.
