Antigone Scene 3 questions
Nov 23 $ 24
As discussed in class, homework during the Thanksgiving break is to complete
pages 1, 6 and 7 on the Literary Terms (yellow handout). For clarity's sake,
page 1 is the front of the first page (the back is page 2, etc). If you have
lost the packet, go to Handouts (second to last document) and print out a new
one. Write a definition and an example. Use a dictionary, dictionary.com, or
Google the terms, it'll take you to academic pages that include definitions
and examples; actually, as much as I dislike and mistrust Wikidepia, for
simple definitions such as these, it's quite alright.
Nov 18 & 19
Do Scene 2 reading questions for next time.
THERE WILL BE A QUIZ ON ANTIGONE NEXT WEEK (Greek drama background, Greek
roots, Prologue, Parodos, Scenes/Odes 1 and 2)
Line references corrections:

48-51); Q5: Creon's character (lines 56-57); Q9: Retell the events (lines 80-
102)
Scene 2: Q1 Creon's reaction (lines 17-19); Q2: Antigone's violation (lines
57-72)Q3: Creon's accusation of Ismene (lines 125-129)Q4 Creon's and
Antigone's main points (lines 105-117)Q5: contrasting images of Ismene (lines
