VETERINARY SCIENCE CLARIFICATION:

Please look over the following document.  I think it will answer most of your questions regarding Veterinary Technology.

  1. Students who have not had a Veterinary Technology Course are REQUIRED to take Intro to Vet Asst Tech (5270).  This is listed in the course catalog but did not make it onto the choice sheets.
  2. Students who have put down Vet Tech I (5271) on their course selection sheets (for 08-09), will have to be placed in Intro to Vet Asst Tech (5270).
  3. Students who are currently (this year) in Vet Tech I will be put into Vet Med Asst I (5271) next year (those students will have Vet Tech II (5272) written on their choice sheets).
  4. Additionally, students who are currently enrolled in Vet Tech I (5271) are actually taking Intro to Vet Asst Tech (5270).  I will be working towards getting the course number changed so that their transcripts reflect the correct course
  5. Our choice sheets are unfortunately, incorrect and do not reflect the changes that were made on Feb. 6th.
  6. The current course catalog on the district’s website is incorrect.  Please refer to the addendum below.

I appreciate your patience as we develop this program.

Thank you,

Kristi Brooks
