My name is Joy Windell and I graduated from the University of Texas at El
Paso. Go Miners! I have a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics with a minor in
Computer Science. This will be my third year teaching math. I taught Algebra 1
last year and 8th grade math before that, so I feel that I have a good
understanding as to where the students are mathematically, as far as what they
have seen and where they are coming from. I love teaching Algebra! I know that
math may not be some students' strong point, but I love the challenge to teach
it in a way that is easily understandable for them. My goal is to see EVERY
student of mine excel, not only in the classroom but in everyday life!
At home, I have been married for ten years and have a four year old son. There
are also two jack russells in our family. I am currently taking a couple of
classes in accounting this year, because that has always been an interest of
mine.
