Memory: No more for the year
School Musical:
What an awesome job our fourth graders did!! Thanks so much to
Mrs. Wehring, Mrs. Goff, Mrs. Jones, and
Mrs. Berglund for teaching the choreography and getting
all the T-shirts! Thanks to the rest of
you, parents, for sending in the money for the shirts.
Offering: Our offerings this month will go toward buying
SHOES for children in Mexico who don’t have any. It was suggested that the kids offer their PE
shoes which many are LIKE NEW because they were only worn in the gym. Please discuss this with your family.
Swim Party: will be Wednesday, May 26 at the Greenwood
Forest Neighborhood Pool.
The
cost is $5 per child. PTL will provide
pizza for the students and teachers. The
pool opens at 9:00. We may
NOT arrive any earlier. Please let
me know if your child will need transportation to and/or from the pool. The Transportation Form and the Permission
Slip will be sent home on Monday. Please
send them back signed with the $5 sometime next week…Thanks!
Auction: Looking
for items…your garage sale type items…are another kid’s treasures!!!! Please send them in a bag or box. Your child will be able to purchase items
with the stickers earned throughout the year. Our auction will be MONDAY
afternoon.
Cleaning Time: Please send in some extra bags next week as
we will be carrying home all the extra items from our desks and lockers. PARENTS,
PLEASE DON’T THROW AWAY YOUR CHILD’S FOURTH GRADE JOURNAL (IN THE COMPOSITION BOOK). IT IS FILLED WITH MANY MEMORIES OF FOURTH
GRADE. WE HAVE WORKED ON IT ALL YEAR

LUNCH: TOMORROW, May 14, we will be having a pizza lunch in the

School Musical:The
musical is Tomorrow Night, May14… YOUR CHILD NEEDS TO WEAR KHAKI SHORTS (OR

to your running events, if you have a running and field event about the same
time. They will not stop the races. Be early to your event. Your laminated schedule is coming home
today. Carry it with you tomorrow.
5) Please check-in with me when you arrive and when you leave. Otherwise, you will be considered
ABSENT.

Cherub Choir:
Congratulations to our 3rd and 4th graders who performed
at the Campbell Center last Saturday. My
neighbors go to Benfer, the school that sang right after Trinity. They were very impressed with your music! Again, awesome job!
School Musical: Calling all talent!!!!! I am looking for choreographers and costume
designers>>>Pleeease… this is not my area of talent. If you would like to help with the class,
please let me know. We will be singing,
“Let’s Get Together” from the movie THE
PARENT TRAP. Does anyone have
the video or DVD of it, so we can watch it and maybe get some ideas?

Auction: The Canez Classroom Tradition is to
use your stickers that you have earned throughout the school year as money to
bid on items. Parents, I could use your
help in collecting some little garage sale type items around your house that
your family may be tired of seeing. These little things could be another child’s treasures!!! I have been doing this for many years and can
tell you that the kids just love to get these things. I have also been picking up $1 items on the
clearance racks at the stores. You can
find some great deals now and the n. Please help me to load up our counter so everyone will go home happy
that day!! You can start sending things
in at any time. Just put them in a sack
and send them in. THANK YOU! Our auction will be sometime the last week of
school.Jessica cleaned out her room last weekend, and she donated a BIG box of
her old stuffed animals, nick nacks, etc. Unfortunately, my boys have been out of the house for a while, and I
donated their things the last few years.

Book Fair: will be April 12-16 Our class will be visiting the fair on Tuesday, so bring your money that day. Parents are welcome to join us while we are
shopping. Family night is Wednesday!
Field Day: will be Friday, April 30. All students are expected to
participate. It takes place at Our
Savior Lutheran School and is a fun day for all. Many parents try to make it to this special
day. Next week, I will be sending home a
permission form and a rider form. Will
your child need a ride in the morning to OSL, from OSL, or both? Or will you be taking your child with you in
the morning? Please think about this and
look for the form next week, as we will need to see how many buses will be
needed.

Prepare your TX City Display – read the Requirements page carefully!!! Ask me if you have any questions! The display is due on Thursday, April 1. I will answer any questions on Tuesday, March 30 in class. I will be out of town until then. Please refer to your project folder for your questions. With your display and items, bring your project folder, resource/note cards, and any resources that fit in your folder.
PARENTS are INVITED to come and take a tour of TX while enjoying our displays on Thursday from 2:15-3:00. We will clean up at 3:00 and be dismissed, so please don’t be late. Visit both 4th grade classes.

Achievement TESTS: Canez
Record: All students were present for
all the achievement tests! Thanks for
the snacks, parents….they must have kept them healthy!

Studies: Find 4 types of resources and write out AT
LEAST 4 resources cards. Two different
internet websites counts as 2 resource cards, but only 1 type. You need 4 types (i.e. internet, encyclopedia
(given), book, magazine, pamphlet, etc…..see pgs. 7A & 7B.)
This week we learned how to write note
cards! We practiced writing them in
class. I expect 30 or more to get a high
A. Remember 1-2 facts per card…Find
