Wednesday: Discuss important parts of plays, prepare for Friday's field trip.
Thursday: Practice Fable Plays. Students should be working on props and costumes at home. DL Quiz #2.

Monday: Letter of Recommendation is due. Spelling WS distributed.
Tuesday: Begin Fable Play group project.
Wednesday: Spelling WS is due. Continue writing Fable Plays.
Thursday: Continue writing Fable Plays.
Friday: Spelling Test. Finish writing fable plays.
April 6 - 9
Tuesday: Discussion of Journals (from Fri). Creating Truth-vertisments: Find a full page ad in a magazine of your choice, cover over the slogan on that add and create a truthful slogan/explanation of what is happening in the picture depicted in that ad or a truth about the product being advertized.
Wednesday: Truthvertisments are due. Learn about letters of recommendation and complete a graphic organizer for a letter of recommendation that you will write for a friend.
Thursday: Continue working on letters of recommendation. Use the graphic organizer (from Wednesday) to draft a letter of recommendation for a friend.
Friday: Letter drafts are due. Editing in class. Final drafts will be due on Monday.
March 29 - April 2
Monday: Writing Formula Poems. Very neat final draft is due on Tues.
Tuesday: Journal: When have you had to use persuasion?
Wednesday: Outrageous Opinions (in class). Pick one outrageous opinion to defend. List 10 reasons why that opinion should be law (hw if not finished in class).
Thursday: Sharing outrageous opinions with class. Journal: (3/4 of a page) Think of the ads you've seen recently on TV, on billboards, or in magazines. Which ones have persuaded you to buy or ask for the product? What makes the advertisement good? Is there anything an advertisement could do that would be immoral or wrong because it's so trick? (Due Tues for 6 Blake. Finished in Class with 6 Brown and 6 Ehrhardt).

Friday: No Classes- Good Friday
March 22 - 26
Monday: Spelling WS is distributed.
Tuesday: Library Day.
Wednesday: Spelling WS is due. Poem/Song Assignment (due Thurs).
Thursday: Learn about onomatopoeia and write a poem.
Friday: Spelling Test. Formula Poems.
