Even when we have finished the Superbowl contest, we would like the
children to continue following these stratagies.
Superbowl is another set of strategies that students can use to help them
with their reading skills. It improves comprehension and other skills.
First Quarter-Number the paragraphs, pictures, and charts while highlighting
and making predictions.
Second Quarter-Read silently while taking notes in the margins. Highlight
bold, italicized, and underlined words.
Third Quarter-Underline questions and circle key words in the questions.
Fourth Quarter-Provide proof for each question answered.
(Make sure that your child understands that they have no need to highlight
everything, just the important parts.)
