Classroom News

Dear Parents,
Thank you those parents that were able to come to our Thanksgiving luncheon.   Our next big thing will be the holiday parties on December 16th at 1:45.  If there is any change, we will send home a note.

We continue practicing addition and subtraction without regrouping. In science, we have done our unit on force & motion, magnets, push and pull and will be moving on to rocks and soil after the break.  Our classrooms will also be creating a science project for the science fair. In writing, the students have created procedural writing pieces. What fun.  Next week, they will become turkeys and have to write a persuasive paper on why they should not be eaten. Some of their reasons may seem a little gross, but their convincing.

Have a wonderful long weekend.     Reminder: Homework is due on Friday. Parents - please check your child's homework and don't let them wait until the night before to complete it.  They are to choose two spelling activities to complete before Friday.  All assignments must be done neatly.  Please check their work before signing their homework folder.  Don't forget that they also need to complete 20 minutes a night reading and practice math facts at least 5 minutes a night. Knowing their facts is so important as we will be moving onto borrowing and regrouping soon.
