We are very excited to announce the itervenionists at Union Hill Elementary
were awarded a grant from the Partners In Education Foundation to purchase
iPods to use in the reading laboratory and/or classroom to improve reading
fluency. Students will use the iPod technology to record, review and reflect
on their reading. This project will kick off in Januray 2010.
Reading Ideas and Tips for Parents:
Have family read aloud time- take turns reading favorite stories
Read books that have been turned into movies- compare and contrast the book
and the movie
Take time to talk to your children about things that interest them- this
gives children an opportunity to verbalize and expand and use new vocabulary
