Announcements

October 19:
Maunas won't have a homework package this week. We had to rearrange Wednesday
afternoon, so I didn't get to meet with them as planned.

October 17:
There will be a parent informational meeting on December 3 at 6:00 p.m. at
STEM. Mr. Kuhar sent out the email announcing this today, so check your email!

October 25:
Well, envelopes didn't go out this Wednesday. So look for my quarterly letter
in THIS Wednesday's envelope (October 29). Also, students are off this Friday
(Oct. 31), but before they get that respite, we have HSA testing on Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday of this week. Sixth graders test on Monday; Seventh
graders test on Tuesday and Wednesday. The subjects tested are science and
writing.

Because of the crazy testing schedule we have this week, students will not
have computer lab time. Consequently, I'm canceling the TeenBiz assignment
for the week. NO TEENBIZ THIS WEEK! Woo-hoo! (Of course, kids can still do
it for grins and giggles, but I won't be grading them--that's the real reason
for the Woo-hoo.)

October 18:
TeenBiz requirements have changed for the second quarter. Students are
required to do THREE TeenBiz lessons per week. Some students may also be
required to organize their thoughts with a graphic organizer before beginning
to write the thought question. Also, you can find the grading rubric for the
thought questions under "Links."

Look for my quarterly letter in the Wednesday envelopes (October 23) and on
this web page under "Handouts."

The KCSOhana email is currently down. The best way to reach me with questions
is to leave a message at school or give me a buzz in the evening on my home
phone.
