I'm originally from Freeport, Texas; I graduated from Brazoswood High
School c/o 1989. I am married to Mr. Bennie Moore and I have three boys and
their names are, starting from the oldest, Emeka age 6, B.J. age 3 and Neal
2 months old as of today. My favorite subjects are Social Studies, Science,
Math, and Art; So I'm really lucky to be able to teach the very subjects
that I like the most.
I attained my Bachelor's Degree, graduating with honors in
Interdisciplinary in Education from the University of Houston main campus.
I received my Teacher Certification March 2006, passing the PPR and the
Generalist Teacher Exam.
Next, I plan to teach for 3 years and start working on my masters in
counseling. It is important to me to KEEP A GOAL, SO I MAY NEVER BE
STAGNANT; I JUST HAVE AN INNER YEARNING TO LEARN MORE AND TO
ALWAYS MOVE TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF LIFE. Saying that, I try to instill
those same ideals, values and goals to my students in my class.
Velasco Elementary is a beacon of hope for a culturally diverse population,
where academic excellence is expected and diversity is recognized as a
strength. We will maintain a curriculum that accelerates the learning of all
students. The faculty and staff will promote trust and open communication
between themselves, students, and parents. All members of the school
community will strive to achieve and maintain excellence as an Accelerated
School.
