I am a graduate of The University of Texas - Pan American in the
Rio Grande Valley. I have a major in Interdisciplinary Studies with a
double minor: one in Bilingual/Bicultural Studies and the other in English.
I graduated in 2000 and was immediately hired to teach overseas in Europe.
I lived in Belgium for four years (2000-2004). I taught English as a Second
Language to children from all over the world while I worked at S.H.A.P.E.
(Supreme Headquarters for Allied Powers in Europe) Elementary School.
I then moved back to the good ol' USA and began teaching for Round Rock ISD
at Purple Sage in 2004. I taught bilingual fifth grade at Purple Sage for
three years and taught second grade for one year. I am now teaching at Xenia
Voigt Elementary. It means a lot to me to be able to work in the community
that I live in. I love teaching fifth grade and working with bilingual
students! I also just finished Grad school. I now have a Master's in
Educational Administration. I believe in lifelong learning and hope to instill
that belief in my students and family.
