I am so excited about the new school year at Walsh Middle School. I have
been in the district for 3 years now, all being at Walsh Middle School!
Prior to coming to Round Rock ISD, I taught math at Tomball Junior High which
is about 30 miles northwest of Houston. I was happy to call TJHS my home for
5 years. I chose to relocate to the Austin area last year to be closer to
family, and I am so happy I did! I have an 8-year old son named Ryan who
will be in 3rd Grade at Cactus Ranch this year. He participates in select
baseball and we spend a lot of our time traveling and practicing for that.
He is my pride and joy and I treat every students as though he/she is my own!
I grew up in Tyler, Texas where I attended Robert E. Lee High School then
received my bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University. I was a
proud captain of the women's basketball team at both schools where I received
athletic, as well as, academic honors. I also recently received my Masters
in Education from Lamar University.
I look forward to the school year with both you and your child at Walsh
Middle School.
