Hello and welcome!
This is my third year at Walsh and I couldn't be happier. It's always
exciting to teach 7th grade Science. Living organisms are truly amazing and I
would not want to teach any
other subject!
I was born in California, spent my childhood years in Maine, and moved to
Texas during middle school. Nature has always been my passion, so when I went
to college I studied biology with a focus on neuroscience. After school, I
decided to be cool and stay in school as an educator. The vast majority of my
relatives are educators!
Other than school, I love to run, hike, kayak, camp, and anything else
outside! I also enjoy spending time with my family and going out to eat. Who
doesn't like that?
My mission is to instill a love for learning in my students! Science requires
one to think critically and develops a curiosity that drives learning. I want
my students to leave 7th grade with a deeper understanding of the world
around them. Additionally, I want them to leave with more questions than when
they began!
