We are wrapping up La Salud chapter. Unit test is Monday, January 30th,
after being postponed from last week on Thursday. We will move on to our
next chapter titled "Un Viaje." This chapter mainly focuses on the whole
experience of taking a trip by plane. We will also discuss taking a trip by
train and the experience of checking in at a hotel. Our new grammar concepts
will be Saber Vs. Conocer [to know], present progressive and "Go Verbs".
We are ALWAYS practicing complete sentences and doing reading passages
together.
IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN SPANISH YOU MUST KEEP YOUR 2 INCH BINDER NEAT
AND ORGANIZED. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR BINDER SO THAT
YOU CAN KEEP UP WITH THE CURRICULUM. A HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL CLASS MUST BE TAKEN
SERIOUSLY!

On November 7th I sent out a letter with your child explaining how promotion
to high school Spanish is going to work. Thank you to most parents who sent
back their signed letter letting me know you read it. Every child received a
second copy of the letter to keep. Please check HAC to see if your child
gave you this letter AND that it was returned back to me. I appreciate your
effort.

NATIONAL SPANISH EXAM
Thank you to all who are participating on the National Spanish Exam. We will
have a intro meeting Wednesday, Jan. 18 and Thursday, Jan 19 afterschool so
that we can discuss in details what our meeting are about. Dates on when we
will meet afterschool will vary week by week. These are the tentative
meetings for now:
