I am very excited to be your child's third grade teacher this year. I am a
long time resident of Friendswood, but I was raised in Victoria. I celebrated
my 22nd wedding anniversary with my husband, Mitch, this summer and I have two
sons. My oldest son, Landon, is 15 and will be a sophomore. My younger
son, Parker, is 12 and will be in the 7th grade. I previously taught in Deer Park
ISD for several years where I taught second grade and kindergarten. This is
my 6th year at Westwood Elementary. I am looking forward to a wonderful, productive and fun year
with your child. :)

My mission for the class is for the children to have a loving, fun and safe
environment to come to each day with the expectation of gaining new and
useful knowledge that will benefit them in a school setting as well as
an "everyday environment". I have very high academic expectations of the kids
and feel that they are capable of becoming high academic achievers as well
as good citizens. The kids are treated not only as students, but "family" in
the classroom and I feel that they truly feel that they are loved,
appreciated and valued each and every day that they are with me and the rest
of their "school family".
