Rules of Conduct

We will be writing our social contract in about a week. A social contract is the agreement we make to do
the things that will make our classroom a safe and learning environment.

I am using a color chart of behavior this year. Here is the explanation of each color.

Green--I had a great day. .
Yellow--I had to be reminded of my teacher's expectations.
Red--I had to be reminded again of my teacher's expectations. Student will miss 10 minutes of recess,
and a note to you in the planner about the behavior(s) that prompted the moving to red. The note will
be on the monthly calendar on the day that the level of red was earned.
Blue--I was not being responsible for my behavior and made some bad choices. I will call you to let
you know about the day, note it in the monthly calendar of the planner.
Purple--I showed no self-control and had to be constantly reminded of my teacher's expectations.
Student will conference with the assistant principal and it will be Mr. Whitlock's decision on the
consequence. You will also be called. Note in the planner may also be included.

Check the planner each day for communication.
