I have taught in Friendswood since 1976. I started as a substitute teacher,
then was hired as a full time teacher in fourth grade. I have been teaching third grade for more than
20 years.
I attended and graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a
bachelor of science in education. I taught in Columbus, Texas for one year,
then I got married and moved to the Houston area.
My husband and I have lived in Friendswood since 1977. I have two daughters, two sons-in-law, and
three grandbabies, 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson.
I have always wanted to teach. It brings me joys and tears. It offers me
challenges and rewards. I am in it for the pay--the hugs, the smiles, the
affirmations I receive from parents and students, past and present. This year is my swan song--I will
retire at the end of this year. I am looking forward to a great year.
