I am a 1988 graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Advertising.
I attained my teacher certification through the Galveston County PACT
program. I have an 19 year old son that is a sophomore, majoring in
mechanical engineering at Texas Tech University. I have a 17 year old
daughter that is in 11th grade at FHS. This is my eighth year at Westwood
Elementary. Before that, I taught kindergarten at Good Shepherd Episcopal
School. I am a serious NASCAR fan and I love #24, Jeff Gordon. I hold season
tickets to the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth and I have been known to
drive overnight to Atlanta to watch a race. I cannot imagine working with
any other age group than my kindergartners. They make each day so special and
they always bring out the sunshine behind the clouds.
My mission for this class is for all students to succeed at their own pace.
I hope to guide and support each child to realize their full potential as a
student and as a person. I want the children to enter into a safe and secure
learning environment that will nurture their creativity and encourage their
self-confidence.
