My name is Tammy Kaufhold. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elem. Ed. and a Minor in Generic Special
Education. I enjoy this degree because it enables me to teach Special Education as well as Gifted
andTalented. I am entering into my 29th year of teaching. Four years were in First Grade in Conroe
Independent School District,17 in third grade here at Westwood Elem.,and this is my 8th year in
second grade. I have been married 25 years to Kent, who is in Sales Management with Profax. What a
wonderful man to always listen to my children's stories. He is very supportive with my teaching and is
a strong backbone to me. I have two children, Cameron 21, and Kellsey 19. Both are very involved in
sports. Cameron graduated from Friendswood High School and is attending Baylor
University. Cameron is in his fourth year at Baylor and 3 years playing football for the Baylor Bears.
He was redshirted his first year. We are so excited to be a part of that. Be looking for number 71
in August when the season begins. Kellsey just joined her brother in July as she so wished to go to
summer school. Since she isn't playing a sport at Baylor, she has decided to work for the Baylor
Football Team. We were so blessed at the great job she will have working with the coaches, team,
and getting her foot in the door in sports communication ( sports commentator). We are so lucky
to be able to see both of them on the weekends.
I enjoy snow skiing, traveling, (especially with the Baylor Bears and Mustangs) watersports, shopping,
reading, and time with my family. I sure enjoyed doing many road trips to Waco this year to see
Cameron and meet the football team. As I look forward each year to meeting my new children, l
also like to look back on the children that I have taught in the past. Spending time with each child,
fills a light in my heart that keeps burning. I love teaching and I love to be with kids. I feel blessed to
be teaching with such great teachers in a great school and district.
Sincerely,
Tammy Kaufhold
To have an understanding of how each child ticks and at what pace that they
tick. To understand that each child's light burns at different ends, and that each child has a burning
desire to learn. I want to make a difference in each of their lives while they are in my class. I want
them to love to learn and have a need to want to come to class each day.
