Cheerleader Attire

Rules and Guidelines- Cheerleading Attire

***Any infraction of the following rules will result in suspension of the cheerleader as determined by the coach.

1. No jewelry of any kind is to be worn during practice or at games. (this includes earrings, rings, body piercing, or bracelets of any kind)

2. Hair will be kept pulled back away from face in ponytail, braid or by clip. (hair style and bows will be uniform as permittable and at the discretion of the coach)

3. Only the cheer shoes purchased for the year will be worn at practices and at games. Shoes should be kept clean and in good shape. (no old shoes from previous years of cheering or from outside cheer teams allowed)

4. All socks will be the same color and length.

5. Cheerleaders will look uniform and like a team at all times. For example, at a football game if it is decided that cheer jackets are to be worn, everyone will wear a jacket. The same applies to cheer sweaters, warm-ups, or any other apparel bought for the cheer season. You will not be allowed to wear personal clothing over your uniform.

6. Cheer jackets, warm-ups, etc. will not be worn to cheer at basketball games in. In the gym you will wear only the chosen cheer uniform for that game.

7. Undergarments should not be visible. (No bra straps showing and cheer bloomers worn at all times)

8. Once you have changed for a game you must be in full uniform. You will not be allowed to leave the locker room etc. with only half of your uniform on. (Example you are wearing your cheer uniform with flip flops, or uniform top with jeans etc.)

****You are a representative for WISD and will look appropriate at all times.
