8th Grade English Course Requirements

SUPPLIES: You should gather your supplies as soon as you can. All folders must be ready to go by the Monday following the first day of school.

Blue or Black Ink Pens

Highlighter

Red Pen for grading

1 Box of Kleenex

Wide-Ruled Notebook Paper

The folder will count as a grade each six weeks. For full credit, it must be kept in the following order:

Title Page

Classroom Rules

Rules for Written Work

Objectives

Assignments for that Six Weeks

***Always keep a well-supplied stock of notebook paper in the back of your folder.

***Grading for 8th grade English will be weighted as follows:

Daily Grades/Homework = 55% Tests/Quizzes/Essays = 25% Six Weeks Test = 20%
