Philosophy of Education:
Motto:
Appreciating my own worth and importance and having character to be accountable for myself and to act responsibility toward others.
Student Motto:
“Be respectful, be responsible, learn cooperative and the skill of compromise and remember that every one has the right to learn.
My mission as a teacher is to prepare my students to be productive citizens of the 21st Century world.
Regardless of the subject taught; Art, History, or Math---a good teacher should strive to provide experiences that cross or go beyond traditional content areas.
An integrated structure and knowledge of disciplines, enriched with our historical traditions and our multicultural richness is the key to preparing children to become positive, participating citizens of a democratic society; such a society that learns respect, responsibility and that every one has equal rights.
I strive to establish a climate that encourages students to question, exercise independence, and use their creativity in order to be all they can be.
Core values are taught include citizenship, respect for others, respect for self and responsibility for actions and consequences.
I challenge the students to foster cognitive and physical development through a wide range of intellectual, social, and physical experiences within a “hands-on” multicultural environment.
Finally, but most important, I love kids and I love teaching.
I thank God for my gifts and talents and hope that I have and will continue to make a difference in the lives of the children that I teach.
