VISUAL ARTS HOMEWORK

HOMEWORK AND MANDATORY TUTORIALS

Homework in art is rare. However, students are required to inquire as to
assignments missed due to absences or extended illness. If absences are due
to illness, students will be given extra time in class or at home to complete
their projects or they can attend tutorials. If absence is based on a church
trip or family obligations, special arrangements will be made on an
individual basis.

FYI: All projects are given “X” many days to complete based on the
difficulty of the assignment. I will lengthen or shorten an assignment based
on class completion and time constraints. If I feel that the students as
a “whole” need more time to complete an assignment, then I will make the
change. The decision is based on the majority, not the minority and those
that need extra time need to ask.

Students assigned to ISS will not be allowed to work on art projects during
ISS or at home, therefore, it is their responsibility to make arrangements
with the teacher to attend tutorials after school to complete missing
assignments. Tutorials will be held after school on Tuesdays from 3:05-3:45
or Wednesday mornings from 7:25 -7:50. Class detentions will be held on
Wednesday afternoons form 3:05-3:45.

AEP students will follow the rules and regulations of the AEP principal. I
will not send art assignments to AEP.

Sincerely,

Tina Marie Hannon-Penney
