ANNOUNCEMENT – Junior High
Judging to the 2012 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Contest took place
January 11, 2012 at the Art Alliance Center in Clear Lake.
6th grade students from morning art who received 3rd place ribbons were Sarah
Huynn, Josh Peterson, Kylee Marcus, Grace Rollen, Logan Kane, and Patricia Baker.
Second place ribbons were received by Julia Pham, Jacob Swedlund, Kelsea
Newton, Andrew Cianciolo, Jake Johnstone, Payton Ditta, Noah Geno, and
Caroline Slaton.
First place ribbons were received by Garrett Hurst and Zach Hickman.
A Gold Medal was received by Darby Easterday. Darby’s’s rodeo artwork entitled
“Texas Cow” will be displayed at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo student
art exhibit located at Reliant Center.

Second place ribbons were received by 4th graders Brittany Harris, Brooke
Humlicek and Nathan Marx.
First place ribbons were received by 4th graders Jasmin Kuo and Hannah
McMahon. First place ribbons were also received by 5th graders Emily
Henderson, Kevin Yu, and Chloe Mayfield.
Finalist ribbons were received by 5th graders Jingyun Chen and Caroline Velek.
A Gold Medal was received by 4th grader Alyssa Leggio. Alyssa’s rodeo artwork
titled “Three Horses” will be displayed at the Houston Livestock Show and
Rodeo student art exhibit located at Reliant Center.
